1PointFive and King Ranch in South Texas have joined forces to develop the South Texas DAC Hub, which offers access to 106,000 subsurface acres for Direct Air Capture (DAC) and sequestration. This hub has the potential to remove up to 30 million metric tonnes of CO₂ annually through DAC, with an estimated storage capacity of 3 billion metric tonnes.

The project has been renamed from South Texas DAC Hub, which had originally submitted its application on 11/30/2023 and which was declared administratively complete by 12/22/2023. The substantial change to the application has reset the timeline with the EPA.
