Orchard Storage Company LLC is proposing to develop a carbon sequestration facility in Gaines County, Texas, The Orchard Project is being designed to handle captured carbon dioxide (CO2) from various emitters through multiple sequestration wells. This site is ideally suited for the sequestration of CO2 with minimal existing wellbores in the area, an injection interval with requisite and appropriate reservoir properties, and substantial sealing intervals. The storage site is also relatively near existing CO2 pipeline infrastructure to accommodate the economic delivery of sourced CO2 volumes to the Orchard Project.

In July 2023, Elysian was acquired by Buckeye Partners which is owned by the IFM Global Infrastructure Fund.
