Carbon Storage Solutions, LLC (CSS), a subsidiary of Front Range Energy, LLC, owns and operates a geologic sequestration facility. The project aims to capture up to 127,800 metric tons of CO2 annually from the fermentation off-gas system at the FRE ethanol plant in Windsor, CO. The Front Range 1-1 well, drilled as a stratigraphic test under a Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission permit, provides site-specific data for the Class VI permit.
