Denbury has entered a definitive agreement with a significant landowner in southwest Louisiana to establish and manage a specialized CO2 sequestration site. This 31,000-acre land parcel spans across Allen, Beauregard, and Vernon Parishes, situated about 25 miles to the north of Denbury's Green Pipeline. Denbury foresees the capacity to securely store up to 250 million metric tons of CO2 at this location, with initial injection operations expected to commence as early as 2026. This strategic site offers the advantage of convenient storage for the heavy industrial zones in Beaumont and Port Arthur, Texas, along with Lake Charles, Louisiana. In the immediate vicinity of the dedicated CO2 sequestration site, there are already more than 60 million metric tons of annual emissions in existence.
