ConocoPhillips Texas Gulf Coast CCS LLC (Operator), a subsidiary of ConocoPhillips Company, is developing CO2 sequestration facilities in Aransas and Refugio Counties, Texas. The ConocoPhillips Texas Gulf Coast CCS injection site (Project) is designed to permanently store CO2 from a hydrogen/ammonia production facility currently under development.

The overall development consists of multiple components: a hydrogen/ammonia production facility, a CO2 pipeline, and a CCS injection site. Six injection wells are planned for the Project (Snapper North INJ 1, Snapper North INJ 2, Snapper North INJ 3, Snapper South INJ 1, Snapper South INJ 2, and Snapper South INJ 3).

The project was initiated following the approval of two Strat Test wells in the county. Burlington Resources O&G Co LP, a subsidiary of ConocoPhillips Company, applied for the Strat Test wells, and lease agreements by ConocoPhillips are accessible via the external link.
