The Casper Carbon Storage Hub is situated on the southwestern edge of the Powder River Basin, known for its abundant energy and mineral resources over the past century.

The project plans to inject 6 million metric tons of CO2 over 15 years, starting at 50,000 metric tons per year and increasing gradually to a maximum of 750,000 tons per year.
