The current active Class VI injection permit for CCS #2 represents a modified and extended version of the original permit issued on September 23, 2014. This updated permit for CCS #2 was issued on November 5, 2021. Furthermore, CCS #2 is part of the broader Decatur Campus project, which includes two existing legacy wells, CCS #1 and CCS #2, along with two new Class VI injection wells, CCS #3 and CCS #4.
