The main goal of the CarbonSAFE Phase II Tulare County Carbon Storage Project (TCCSP) is to create a commercial-scale CO2 sequestration hub in California's Central Valley, aiming to store and inject a minimum of 50 million metric tons of CO2 over 30 years. With projections indicating the site could hold close to 500 million metric tons of CO2, the TCCSP team plans to confirm the geological feasibility by drilling a stratigraphic test well and examining the collected geological data.
