Siemens Energy, in collaboration with Constellation Energy, the University of California–Berkeley, and Battelle, is set to evaluate the potential for a diverse Direct Air Capture (DAC) hub centered on Siemens Energy's solid sorbent capture technology. The Teras DAC project, in line with the U.S. Department of Energy's Carbon Negative Shot initiative, aims to establish a viable route for the future development of this DAC hub. The proposed setup will feature a main hub in the Midwest and a secondary research hub at the Richmond Field Station in Berkeley, California, incorporating both the primary technology and additional emerging capture technologies.
