Pelican Renewables LLC intends to develop a regional CO2 storage hub at the island of Rindge Tract in the eastern portion of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta in California (“Delta”) that is accessible by barge and rail. Pelican will be drilling three characterization wells on Rindge Tract and performing a suite of logs, tests, measurements and analyses to characterize three target sandstone formations and their seals and optimize the potential for stacked storage at the site. The results will be used to inform Class VI injection well permitting and to prepare the plan for subsequent development of the storage field.
