Front-End Engineering and Design: Project Tundra Carbon Capture System

Front-end engineering design studies for carbon capture systems on coal and natural gas power plants

Minnkota Power Cooperative is performing a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study to install a post-combustion carbon dioxide (CO2) capture system at Square Butte Electric Cooperative’s Milton R. Young Station, Unit 2 (MRY2), located near Center, North Dakota. Based on the results of pre-FEED studies of two leading commercial-ready carbon capture technologies, Fluor’s Econamine FG Plus SM (EFG+) technology has been selected for installation.
