The Bluebonnet Sequestration Project, located in Houston, Texas, aims to finalize site characterization, front-end engineering design, permitting, and environmental approvals necessary to prepare for construction of the Bluebonnet Sequestration Hub. This initiative seeks to demonstrate both the technical and commercial viability of a large-scale carbon dioxide (CO2) sequestration hub for securely storing captured CO2 in deep geological formations. Advancing from its current phase to construction and operational stages will facilitate the capture and sequestration of 8 million metric tons (Mt) of CO2 annually over a 15-year span. Additionally, there's potential for future expansion to accommodate up to 26 million Mt per year, resulting in a total storage capacity exceeding 350 million Mt.
